Cinema Projector systems – DCI and Non-DCI
DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) is a set of standards for digital cinema projection systems, ensuring high-quality image and sound reproduction.
Non-DCI projectors may not meet these standards but can still be used for various applications, such as home theaters or non-cinematic presentations, where DCI compliance is not required.
Sound system
5.1: This format includes five speakers (front left, front center, front right, rear left, and rear right) and one subwoofer.
7.1: Similar to 5.1, but with two additional surround speakers (rear left surround and rear right surround).
7.2: Adds a second subwoofer to the 7.1 setup for enhanced bass response.
9.2: Adds two additional height speakers to the 7.1 setup for a more immersive sound experience.

Cinema screens
Perforated: These screens have tiny holes that allow sound to pass through from speakers placed behind the screen, providing a more immersive audio experience.
Non-Perforated: These screens do not have holes and are often used in setups where speakers are placed elsewhere in the theater.
White Matt: A standard white screen with a matte finish, providing a neutral surface for projection.
3D system Active and Passive
Active 3D systems use battery-powered glasses that sync with the display to alternately block the left and right eyes, creating the 3D effect. Passive 3D systems use polarized glasses, similar to those used in theaters, with the screen displaying two images simultaneously, each polarized differently for each eye.
